This radiation-hard optical transceiver engine utilizes a transparent glass chip carrier to facilitate surface-mount assembly for intra-satellite interconnects. It integrates 4-Tx and 4-Rx channels, molded microlens arrays, and flip-chip bonded ICs within a compact, solder-reflowable BGA package. This board-level integration improves scalability and reliability for high-density, high-speed data interconnects within spacecraft.
