This study investigates the ultraviolet-induced photodegradation of silicon CCD sensors used in the Sentinel-5 instrument. By measuring the changes in quantum efficiency after high-energy UV exposure, the research quantifies the risks associated with intense calibration light sources. These results provide essential data for maintaining long-term sensor calibration and protecting detector health.
