SHY-4D is a stereo hyperspectral imaging system developed to identify rare earth elements on the lunar surface. By mounting two cameras on a rotating rover mast, the system acquires spatially enriched hyperspectral data to characterize lunar regolith composition. This integrated spectroscopic-imaging approach provides a high-resolution tool for strategic planetary resource exploration.
