This 12U CubeSat payload utilizes a two-mirror off-axis Schwarzschild design combined with freeform optics to maximize hyperspectral imaging performance within restricted volumes. By integrating Zernike-based polynomial surfaces, the system effectively corrects aberrations to maintain high signal quality in the visible and near-infrared spectrum. This approach demonstrates a scalable path for high-fidelity Earth observation using miniaturized platforms.
