This spectroscopic Doppler lidar uses a single-frequency Alexandrite ring laser and an ultra-narrowband high-finesse receiver to achieve high-resolution wind and temperature profiling from 2-120 km. By implementing advanced post-processing to bypass the Fourier-transform limit, the instrument delivers sub-MHz spectral resolution with minimal photon requirements. This technology enables rapid, highly accurate 3D atmospheric retrievals for future space-based Earth observation missions.
