This modeling tool enhances nulling interferometry design by calculating performance directly from ray-traced optical systems in Code V. By propagating realistic surface figure errors, misalignments, and Zernike modes through the entire optical chain, it overcomes the limitations of idealized analytical models. This allows for more precise verification of high-contrast imaging performance for future mid-infrared space-based exoplanet characterization missions.
