The novel snapshot spectropolarimeter uses a modulator based on three MgF2 birefringent prisms to encode full Stokes vector information into a continuous spatial modulation. This allows for high-speed, wide-spectral-range measurements of light polarization, filling a key gap for space-based remote sensing. The robust design utilizes fixed linear analyzers to simplify the optical path while providing precise polarization data capture.
