The RYDAR project develops Rydberg atomic RF sensors, leveraging alkali atom vapor cells to achieve highly sensitive, tunable, and self-calibrated RF field detection. By using laser frequency detuning, these quantum sensors can selectively cover the entire RF spectrum with SI-traceable precision. This technology offers a significant advancement for space situational awareness by enabling accurate, wideband, and self-calibrating RF monitoring.
