This ultra-wide-angle lens design uses a twelve-element retrofocus architecture to achieve high resolution and telecentricity across a 91.5° field of view. The design optimizes chief ray angle matching and detector angular response to ensure radiometric uniformity while minimizing vignetting. This approach provides a compact, robust solution for wide-field spaceborne imaging systems requiring high modulation transfer function performance.
