This methodology provides a framework to simulate and experimentally emulate turbulence-induced irradiance fluctuations in ground-to-space optical uplinks. By recreating fast scintillation and fading effects, it allows for the controlled testing of pointing, acquisition, and tracking (PAT) subsystems. This enables precise evaluation of terminal robustness and communication link reliability under realistic atmospheric conditions.
