The ATOM project provides a high-precision optical metrology solution for monitoring the structural integrity and geometry of large deployable satellite reflectors. By ensuring precise surface control of apertures exceeding 5 meters, it enables the high-frequency operation required for Q/V band communications. This technology directly addresses the challenge of maintaining beam focusing accuracy in next-generation very high-throughput satellites.
