This refocusing system employs specialized breadboard structures to actively adjust the distance between the primary and secondary mirrors of the THESEUS Korsch telescope. By compensating for thermal-mechanical deformations in the truss, it ensures the tight thermo-optical stability required for infrared observations. This development provides a necessary mechanism for maintaining diffraction-limited performance across the mission's wide operating temperature range.
