This study evaluates transmitter diversity as a mitigation technique against signal fading and irradiance fluctuations in long-distance optical uplinks. By deploying multiple uncorrelated transmitters, the scintillation index is effectively reduced, compensating for the atmospheric turbulence that degrades link performance. The results demonstrate that combining this diversity with optimized beam divergence enhances link reliability for satellite-based optical communications.
