This project develops a Thulium-doped fiber amplifier system operating at 2051 nm to facilitate CO2 and H2O monitoring via differential absorption LIDAR. It employs a MOPA configuration specifically engineered to mitigate non-linear Stimulated Brillouin Scattering (SBS) effects while delivering high pulse energy. This technology provides a necessary, European-sourced solution for precise atmospheric greenhouse gas detection from low Earth orbit.
