SPECULA is a Python-based framework providing high-fidelity, end-to-end adaptive optics simulations for satellite-to-ground optical communications. It models complex atmospheric laser propagation, including point-ahead-angle calculations, temporal delays, and telescope slewing. This allows developers to optimize adaptive optics loops to compensate for atmospheric turbulence in both LEO and GEO bi-directional links.
