High-precision aspherical diffraction gratings for the EUVST instrument are fabricated by bonding two separate ruled sub-gratings. Because this integration is irreversible, a specialized pre-bonding optical metrology approach is employed to verify orientation and spectral performance. This rigorous verification process is essential for achieving the high spatial and temporal resolution required for solar atmosphere observations.
