The SALSA instrument provides high-dynamic-range measurements of spectral transmittance and scattering parameters across the 200–1700 nm range. Its rotating-arm goniometric configuration and dual-stage spectral filtering enable the detection of extremely low-level diffuse transmission. This extension into the ultraviolet spectrum offers critical capabilities for characterizing optical materials used in high-sensitivity space applications.
