This work introduces a system-level opto-mechanical design for a 1-Gbps optical communication terminal supporting lunar-to-Earth links. By integrating telescope optics, support structures, and thermal management into a unified design, the terminal ensures reliable high-speed data transmission for the Artemis program. Breadboard model testing validates the feasibility of this complex long-distance optical infrastructure.
