The Helmos Observatory utilizes its 2.3m Aristarchos telescope to serve as a high-performance ground station for deep space and lunar optical communications. Equipped with a bistatic transmit/receive system, the site leverages excellent atmospheric conditions to support high-speed links and quantum key distribution. Future mission integrations will further enhance its role as a key asset for long-range orbital connectivity.
