The PANTER X-ray test facility is currently calibrating Silicon Pore Optics mirror modules for the NewAthena mission. Testing includes evaluating individual mirror performance and conducting opto-thermo-mechanical assessments of mirror assemblies under simulated space-like thermal environments. These ongoing campaigns are crucial for the formal mission adoption and ensuring the X-ray optics meet scientific requirements by 2039.
