High-power FSO systems face significant nonlinear impairments when connecting booster amplifiers to telescopes via short fiber segments. Numerical analysis reveals that these effects, previously considered negligible in free space, can degrade signal integrity in high-power satellite links. Identifying these limitations allows for optimized amplifier design to maintain high data rates in Tbps intersatellite and feeder networks.
