Laser Guide Star Adaptive Optics enables modal pre-compensation for optical feeder links by measuring wavefront distortions offset by the point-ahead angle. Addressing the critical challenge of anisoplanatism and tip-tilt sensing, this technique allows for a more accurate correction of turbulence along the uplink path. This approach significantly mitigates the limiting effects of atmospheric turbulence on high-speed space-to-ground data rates.
