OPAL provides a GPU-accelerated, multi-layer atmospheric turbulence simulator for modeling space-to-ground FSO links using split-step Fourier methods. By leveraging TensorFlow and machine learning architectures, it accurately simulates link degradation caused by evolving turbulence profiles. This tool enables efficient design and testing of mitigation strategies for terabit-per-second satellite network communications.
