The Multi-Angled Polarimeter (MAP) instrument provides essential data to correct for aerosol-induced errors in CO2M mission measurements. It utilizes a focal plane assembly featuring integrated micropolarizers and spectral filters to capture radiance and linear polarization across seven spectral channels. This optical unit supports precise atmospheric characterization by observing reflected light from multiple zenith angles.
