This compact SWIR imaging spectrometer utilizes photonic-crystal filters with tunable spectral transmission for accurate trace gas retrieval. By integrating these filters directly into the detector module, the system achieves a high-resolution instrument architecture that is significantly smaller than current flagship alternatives. This design inherently compresses data during acquisition, reducing the burden on satellite down-link bandwidth while maintaining high-fidelity CO2 and CH4 monitoring.
