CALHYS is a compact VIS/SWIR hyperspectral spectrometer designed for the HiBiDiS mission, leveraging two co-aligned Offner-Chrisp-derived grating spectrometers. It achieves a 5-meter ground sampling distance, exceeding current capabilities by a factor of six while maintaining a mass under 50 kg. This enables high-resolution, multitemporal monitoring of canopy layers and biodiversity from a compact, agile satellite platform.
