This hybrid laser architecture combines the compactness of fiber lasers with the high-power, high-gain capabilities of free-space Ho:YLF amplification at 2.05 µm. The design mitigates stimulated Brillouin scattering limitations in fiber systems to meet the high peak power requirements for space-based CO2 Lidar measurements. It offers a scalable, alignment-free solution for greenhouse gas monitoring platforms that require significant pulse energy.
