CHIME’s hyperspectral instrument utilizes a four-mirror telecentric telescope to feed three distinct spectrometric subsystems for precise wide-range spectral imaging. An optical model is employed to manage the complex alignment requirements between detector arrays and spectrometer units, ensuring high spatial and spectral co-registration. This integration process is critical for maintaining the high modulation transfer function necessary for hyperspectral performance.
