The Prisma Second Generation hyperspectral instrument uses a modified Ritchey-Chrétien telescope design with a 640 mm aperture to achieve 7.5 m ground sampling distance. By employing two identical spectrometers fed by a single telescope, it covers the full 400 nm to 2500 nm range with high spectral resolution. The design balances compact volume with rigorous telecentric and optical quality requirements for high-SNR Earth observation.
