Lessons learnt from a 60 cm ground station (FEELINGS) to build a 2.5 m quantum internet-ready ground station (PROVIDENCE)

In 30 seconds

This project leverages operational data from the FEELINGS ground station to define requirements for the PROVIDENCE 2.5m quantum internet-ready facility. It focuses on optimizing reception chains for entangled photon exchange to overcome atmospheric noise and background light. The findings establish critical architectural parameters for maximizing qubit fidelity over long-distance, free-space links.
