This work integrates High-Altitude Platforms (HAPs) and drones as passive optical relay nodes within free-space quantum networks to mitigate signal loss caused by diffraction. By decreasing the effective propagation distance of entangled-photon optical beams, these platforms enable more efficient long-distance communication. This architecture provides a viable strategy for achieving high-fidelity transatlantic entanglement distribution without requiring complex active quantum repeaters.
