Ground-based lidar and radiosonde observations, combined with space-based mission data, enable a comprehensive analysis of contrail formation and radiative forcing. This study characterizes the optical properties and growth rates of persistent contrails, which are essential inputs for climate modeling. By integrating multi-site ground data, this research provides the empirical basis necessary to quantify the environmental impact of aviation emissions.
