This imaging architecture employs adiabatic frequency conversion (AFC) to up-convert SWIR and MWIR radiation into the visible domain for detection by uncooled sCMOS sensors. By eliminating the need for cryogenically cooled infrared detectors, it enables a compact, common-aperture multi-band payload. This significantly reduces overall system complexity, mass, and power consumption for co-registered remote sensing.
