This work introduces the Absolute Radiometric Reference Instrument (ARRI) to provide centralized calibration for multiple Earth observation payloads. By acting as a shared reference, it eliminates the need for individual, bulky calibration units on every instrument. This reduces overall mission size and mass while maintaining high radiometric accuracy standards.
