Diode-pumped Alexandrite ring lasers provide wide tunability and sub-MHz spectral linewidths essential for high-resolution resonance lidar systems. By utilizing intra-cavity frequency conversion, these prototypes achieve stable UV operation for multi-species atmospheric sensing. This technology offers a versatile, high-efficiency transmitter suitable for compact spaceborne lidar applications.
